MIRKIDS (2023) by Jasmine Morand, Cie Prototype Status
Creation for young audience
MIRKIDS invites a vision of the female and male body multiplied like an image observed through a kaleidoscope. The piece is a choreographic device for eight dancers that presents itself as a bodily kaleidoscope. It offers young audiences an experience and a journey that is both artistic and physical. The piece draws on perpetual motion to create a real “image factory” that is contemplative, fantastic, and organic. Lying around the cylindrical structure like a zoetrope, each child can immerse themselves in the celestial vision of the show. MIRKIDS seizes everyone's imagination to animate and give meaning to the forms that take shape and disappear before our eyes.
