Islands (2016) by Guilherme Bothelo, Cie Alias

Islands is an animated picture, a piece in which the dancers, brought together for their differences, nonetheless form a single entity. This magma composed of bodies evokes, as if by anamorphosis,  an architecture which is sometimes fragmented, sometimes multiplied, as different elements emerge from it: a fusing rock turns into froth, slides through a DNA spiral and takes on spectral or archaic forms, suddenly unearthed from long buried memories.
